Ishikari・Otaru

1 night course

A comfortable parent-and-child drive through the coastal route along the Sea of Japan

If you’re with children, you’re going to want a car - it’s convenient and frees up your time. Take a rental car and drive along the Sea of Japan route from Ishikari City to Otaru City! On the first day, go north from Sapporo, to Atsuda area in Ishikari City. Sop at the roadside station to enjoy the view, have lunch in Ishikari City’s residential district, have a look at the fresh vegetable market, and go from there to Otaru City. Stay the night in a quaint hotel in the middle of a touristic spot. All the places you want to see are in walking distance, so exploring is casual and easy. The next day, you can look forward to an aquarium, a seafood lunch, NIshin-Goten (a combination of housing and a fishing facility), for a good mix of the sea and history.
