Next to Tappu-no-yu, or in other words, the loghouse-like building you can see next to the campsite is the Shinshinotsu produce market. Every morning, village farmers bring fresh vegetables in, and campers as well as people coming for the hot springs and others in the middle of their drives come to shop. Shinshinotsu village has always been devoted to farming and building up the soil. That means all the food is fresh, safe, and good for you. You might spot some rare vegetables you wouldn’t find in the supermarket, too. The morning after camping, why not drop by and look for something new? You could even pick up a tomato or something else that can be eaten as-is as a snack for the road.
